Echo cancellation

The echo cancellation is used to remove echo from a voice communication in order to improve voice quality on a telephone call. In addition to improving quality, this process improves bandwidth savings achieved through silence suppression by preventing echo from travelling across a network.

Using echo cancellation on analog modem / G3 fax calls (voice-frequency data) may cause data corruption.

To show or to change the Echo Cancellation, run a terminal program or a telnet session

Use the command at+thrane, and log in as admin - passw. 1234

Use the command stat -m pabx -l full, to show the state of the Echo Cancellation.

By default the Echo cancellation is enabled!

To disable the Echo Cancellation use the command pabx SLIC_00 -e 0 or, for second RJ11 interface on an Explorer 700, pabx SLIC_01 -e 0

To enable the Echo Cancellation use the command pabx SLIC_00 -e 1 or, for second RJ11 interface on an Explorer 700, pabx SLIC_01 -e 1
