SIM Lock:

Subject:

Explorer 250, 300, 325, 500, 527, 700, 727

Identification:

To access the SIM Lock menu you have to have a SIM Lock Code.

The SIM Lock Code is unique for each terminal.

The SIM Lock Code must be handled with care as any unauthorized used of this code will give access to the SIM Lock menu and by that access to change / delete the settings. (Unlocking the terminal)

The Code has to be purchased from the T&T order office.

SIM locking a terminal will cause the terminal to only accept SIM cards matching the codes entered in the SIM lock menu.

For further information about DP (Distribution Partner) and ISP (Inmarsat Service Provider), pls. contact Inmarsat or visit www.Inmarsat.com

Action:

EXPLORERâ„¢ can be locked to only accept specific SIM cards depending on IMSI, DP (Distribution Partner) and ISP (Inmarsat Service Provider)

The Terminal will validate the codes entered in the SIM lock menu with the codes on the SIM card. If NOT matching the terminal will reject the SIM card.

The SIM locking can be performed in two different ways.

1: Getting the IMSI, DP and ISP code from the inserted SIM.

(Lock to SIM inserted (IMSI code). Lock to DP code of SIM inserted. Lock to ISP of SIM inserted (terminal will also validate the DP code )

2: Putting in the IMSI, DP and ISP code manually.

(Lock to SIM (IMSI code) Lock to DP code, Lock to DP and ISP code)

See example of SIM Lock page below:

1: Locking to SIM

Locking a terminal to the IMSI is locking it to the SIM card.

Terminal will only accept that specific SIM card.

2: Locking to DP

Locking the terminal to DP will make the terminal accept all SIM cards from a specific DP. (The terminal will not validate the ISP code)

3: locking to ISP

Locking to ISP will also make the terminal validate the DP code.

Terminal will only accept SIM cards with a specific DP code and a specific ISP code.

Note: Explorer terminals will not accept a FBB SIM card, regardless to SIM lock.
